What Is It?

In One Sentence:

The Frontier Letter is a newsletter where we voluntarily travel into the unknown in the space between innovative technologies and the human experience* in an attempt to demystify a problem or situation so that we can ideate a potential solution to the scenario that presents itself so that people are more prepared to deal with complex and changing times, reducing an overwhelming and potentially threatening and chaotic future.

*Philosophy, Social Sciences (Psychology, Economics, Sociology, etc.), Religion, Art, Film, Literature, and Poetry.

In More Detail:

The experience of being a human is complex and increasingly so in modern times. Around the complexity, there is a lot of noise, pathological ideas, and puppets who reiterate the mainstream narrative.

The Frontier Letter is here to wrestle with the complexity of innovative technology and how humans interact with them, which can take many forms of study.

I will not have all the right answers; BUT I will always speak as honestly and openly as possible to arrive close to the realistic truths about a present problem/situation and ideate potential solutions to solving any problems to move us to a more desirable future! Even if the solution I propose is 90% off the mark or I'm directly wrong about 90% of the time, I hope the creativity of an ideated solution sparks other ideas in your mind, which can help us all march one step closer to the correct solution.

Frontier Letter is about diving head-first into the heart of the unknown together. I want us to grapple with the chaos on the border of human knowledge, where others fear to tread. I'm here to make sense of the complexity by tearing it apart and trying to piece it together to manifest a beautiful future. We're on an eternal quest for truth and will take this path with unflinching integrity. This is for the curious and those looking for an exciting vision of the future: Welcome to the frontier.

I can’t promise this will make you ultra-successful.

But I will always aim to provide insight to inspire, enlighten, or empower you so you don’t fail - we will arm you with information that helps you become the voluntary explorer who can derive promise from the unknown.

“Anomalies manifest themselves on the border between chaos and order, so to speak, and have a threatening and promising aspect. The promising aspect dominates when the contact is voluntary. when the exploring agent is up—to-date-when the individual has explored all previous anomalies, released the "information" they contained, and built a strong personality and steady "world" from that information. The threatening aspect dominates, when the contact is involuntary, when the exploring agent is not up to-date-when the individual has run away from evidence of his previous errors, failed to extract the information lurking behind his mistakes, weakened his personality, and destabilized his world.”

~ Jordan Peterson, Maps of Meaning

Why Should I Subscribe and How Will I Benefit?

If you're intrigued by new and innovative technologies or the humanities (as defined above), this newsletter will likely resonate. If you are interested in both, this newsletter will definitely resonate.

It is a way to expand your perspective and gain knowledge to help you spur into action to manifest a beautiful vision of the future we all (should) hope to achieve in the creation and ideation of future technology!

By approaching complex ideas voluntarily, openly, and honestly, I hope we can add something to the conversation and provide insight and inspiration for you to take away!

Joining us on the journey is free. We are issuing:

  • The Frontier Letter: Monthly deep dives (1,500 to 6,000 words) optimized for depth - The Main Story.

Who Are You?

My name is Dom, and I am curious, diligent, conscientious, open-minded, and always try my best to be as honest as possible. I am intensely passionate about learning both deeply and broadly.

Here are some quick facts to give you a solid view of who I am:

  • I love stories and think an extremely well-done show, movie, or book is extraordinarily beautiful and drives human behavior.

  • Nothing is more disappointing to me than untapped potential.

  • I love thinking about the big picture.

  • I love deep intellectual conversations.

Everything I do is downstream from my life vision. I used the gravestone method to envision what I want from my life, and this is what I want my gravestone to say:

I think deeply to help put some good out in the world so that I can hopefully reduce suffering.

Sweet, got it?

Here's the beauty in how we will operate at Frontier Media (which is only me at the moment :) ), the media brand under which all the content will be generated, including Frontier Letter.

How Is This Different and Why Should I Let This Touch My Inbox?

A subscription to the Frontier Letter is a subscription to comprehending the impact current and future technology has on humans.

I tend to think that the detail I put into just thinking about what I’m doing here is quite more than the average, and yet, I still feel like I haven’t understood 99% of it. I think that’s because this is the first step to a long journey, but this feels like it is a fundamental part of that journey.

If you want to be part of something with a beautiful vision, where you can be part of a community that likes to discuss or consume interesting takes on these ideas, you’re in the right place.

Frontier Media

We are more than a “media company”; we are, first and foremost, building a community that wants what’s best for humanity.

Vision:

Help make the world less threatened and more hopeful about the future

Mission:

Create and produce meaningful content that inspires, enlightens, and empowers people to drive positive change for themselves and their communities.

1. Embrace Responsibility and Accept the Call to Adventure

Aim to accept the adventure that beckons us forward and embrace the responsibility that comes with it. The more burden we can bear, the better place we leave humanity.

2. Be as Honest as possible with Precise and Clear Communication

We can only understand the truth and concepts at a fundamental core if we come to the table with extreme honesty regarding the topic and communicate our interpretation of the perceived truth. Err on the side of radical transparency.

3. Utmost Humility on Strong Shoulders

To educate and teach, you must first approach the subject with an open mind and the expectation that you do not know everything. We must approach topics with humility, allowing us to understand issues to their core. Without letting radical humility become the death of confidence.

4. Learning Daily

The only way to effectively provide value is to stay updated with your knowledge.

5. Speak As You Must; Seek the Truth

You're free to discuss whatever you want, no matter the topic. If the idea is bad, it will die in the face of discussion, not in the darkness of suppression.

6. Help others achieve their best selves.

Foster growth in one another; don't let resentment and envy get the best of you.

7. Strive for Positivity

Optimistic about the future - Let us bring joy to each other and the world in our mission. However, do not let naive optimism get in the way of the truth.

8. Mission-Driven Community

The mission drives us at its absolute core, and it takes precedence.

"He whose life has a why can bear almost any how" - Nietzsche

9. Compete With Yourself

Challenge yourself every day. Try to beat you yesterday, not someone else today.

10. Continuous innovation

Aim to create at all costs. Stagnation is the death of new ideas.

11. Meaning over expedience

Aim for meaningful improvement over quick solutions that may come back to bite us.

12. We will make mistakes; Own them.

We're not perfect; no matter how hard you try to be as precise and accurate as possible, sometimes things slip. Error correct, and move forward with the newfound knowledge to try and not make that mistake
